Definition: existing or present at birth

Synonyms: native, innate, inherent

Antonyms: acquired, learned

Tips: Anything described as inborn is simply something someone is born with. Inborn is synonymous with innate. Innate is almost always a positive word that refers to a natural talent or skill that you are born with. Inborn is not always as positive and can refer to negative qualities that you were born with, (i.e: an innate talent, an inborn bad temper) but can describe positive traits as well.

She has an inborn talent for mathematics and has always excelled at solving complicated calculations. (innate, inherent)
