Definition: not authentic--false, untrue, not real, pretend

Synonyms: false, fake, phony, bogus, mock, pretend

Antonyms: authentic, real, true, genuine

Tips: Pseudo is a great word to use to discredit something or someone. Simply add pseudo in front of a word as a more sophisticated way of saying that what follows is a fraud or fake. For example, "pseudo intellectual" denotes a person who pretends to be intellectual, but is not.
