Tips: Propogate is derived from the Latin propagare, which means "multiply plants, breed." Propagate still means "to multiply, to reproduce," but is no longer restricted to plants. Information can be propagated by being widely distributed, and therefore, also multiplied. The noun propagation refers to dissemination, or the spreading of something.
